Conero Film + ADV 2024 Reveals Winners
The second edition of Conero Film + ADV concluded on September 8th, 2024, in Italy's scenic Conero Park, awarding a range of innovative film productions with a focus on sustainability. The festival celebrated the winners across 20 main and craft categories, showcasing the best of independent cinema and advertising.
The Winners
Out of over 800 films submitted from 34 countries, only 60 were selected for screening, and 20 productions emerged as award winners across various categories.
Notable winners included:
- Best Music Video over 10K: The Chemical Brothers - Skipping Like A Stone (Audio) ft. Beck, directed by Penzacola and produced by Canada.
- Best Campaign, Best Edit, and Best Concept: Assume That I Can, directed by Rich LEe and produced by Indiana.
- Best Independent Project: The Ice Builders. Co-dir. Francesco Clerici + Tommaso Barbaro
- Best Direction: Sexed - But Then it Happened, directed by Jan Dybus and produced by Papaya Films
- Best Cinematography: Lista, directed by Bianca Poletti and produced by Co. Underwonder content and Disco Pants Inc.
- Best Casting: FemFund - We Hear You, directed by Kasia Bielska and produced by Papaya Films.
- Best VFX: The Shape of Life, directed by Nicola Martini and produced by Jumpp.
- Best Styling and Best Fashion Film (Branded): Versace Jeans Couture, directed by Enrico Bellenghi and produced by C41.
- Best Animation: Patrick Holland - Your Life. Directed by Jordan "Dr.Cool" Minkoff and produced by Co. Cool Video
- Best Sound: Dell’Altro Mondo (Otherworldly) directed by Delia Simonetti.
- Empact Award: For Peanut. Directed by Matthew Palmer and produced by Palmer Films Inc.
A Significant Growth
Conero Film + ADV, organised by Local Bizzarro and MontanariPR, saw a remarkable increase in size compared to its inaugural edition, though attendance was capped at 200 participants to protect the natural beauty of the national park. The festival has solidified itself as a platform for promoting sustainability and celebrating the rich human tradition of storytelling.
Festival founder Mattia Fiumani commented on this year's success, "The Conero Film + ADV 2024 event successfully united the worlds of film and advertising in a format that promotes both creativity and sustainability. This year, in particular, stands as a significant moment in the festival's development. We have redefined the event through its location and format, expanded through our jury and programming, while maintaining a strong connection with our community. As the festival continues to grow, it is becoming a transformative force in the industry, proving that impactful storytelling and environmental responsibility can thrive together."
