Billboards nod to the legendary line once aimed at Liverpool FC’s dominance by former Manchester United Manager, Sir Alex Ferguson

Following confirmation of Liverpool FC’s Premier League title success, long-time club partner Carlsberg has unveiled a series of cheeky billboards in the heart of Liverpool.

The billboard headline, ‘Back on our “f****** perch”? Probably.’, is a cheeky nod to the legendary line once aimed at Liverpool FC’s dominance by former Manchester United Manager, Sir Alex Ferguson.

Samuel Johnson, head of marketing, Carlsberg said, “This historic win puts Liverpool FC firmly back at the top of English football, equalling Manchester United’s record of twenty league titles. So, we wanted to do something to mark the occasion.

“As a partner for more than 30 years, we’ve been with Liverpool FC through plenty of highs and lows, so to be able to celebrate the club’s triumphant return to their ‘perch’ is really special – and of course, we had to do it in typical Carlsberg fashion.”

Situated in four locations in Liverpool including Liverpool Central and Liverpool Boxpark, the simple message blends football folklore with Carlsberg’s iconic 'Probably' tagline, in a way that only the Danish brewer could.

The campaign is already turning heads, raising smiles and sparking the spirited banter between fans that football was made for.
