Dean Ryan, Michael Whelan, Alan McQuaid and Conor Marron join the team

Despite the ongoing pandemic, it’s been a busy summer for Boys+Girls, the branded entertainment agency and Ireland's leading independent agency. After huge success at Cannes Lions and further new business wins with Littlewoods joining the agency, there have been some key hires in both the creative department and in relationship management.

Dean Ryan, senior art director and Michael Whelan, senior copywriter join creative as a team from Folk Wunderman Thompson. Dean is an international award winning art director who studied visual communications at Limerick School of Art & Design and went on to work with brands such as Vodafone An Post, National Lottery and Eir. Michael studied Film & Video Production at the University of Wolverhampton, followed by an MPhil at Trinity College and has picked up multiple awards and commendations along the way. This senior creative team will work across a number of Boys+Girls clients.

Alan McQuaid joins the relationship management department as a senior account director from Rothco Accenture Interactive and will work on accounts such as SKODA, Three UK & Chelsea Football Club, Littlewoods, and Colourtrend. Alan graduated with a BSc Business & Management, from DIT and has experience working both brand and agency side in Dublin, Chicago and London.

Also joining the creative department is Conor Marron, junior art director. With a Bachelor's in Multimedia from DCU, Conor went on to graduate from TU Dublin with a first class honours in Creative Advertising. Conor joins from TBWA Dublin and already has a number of awards to his name; he was shortlisted for the 2020 Rodger Hatchuel academy at Cannes Lions, won the Glanbia Thesis Communication Award, and most recently he was awarded in The Drum’s Chip Shop Awards 2021 for his work on Transport for London with copywriter, and fellow TU Dublin alumni, Kerry Mahony.
