This campaign is a series of online films that have been created for the Alliance of Independent Agencies to promote the Independent Agency Awards.
This unique award show exclusively celebrates the work being created by the best Independent Agencies in the UK. To highlight this fact, (in a cheeky way) the campaign shows the effect the show is having on the folks who CAN’T enter (or win). Namely, the giant network holding companies. After all, they love to acquire agencies, but an Independent Agency Award is something they can never acquire.
The regular deadline for this show is this Friday, April 4th. But, like every single other award show there may be an extension for those stragglers.
Every year, the Independent Agency Awards is getting bigger and better, and this is the first time the Alliance has supported the show with a film campaign.
The campaign was created by production company Film Punks, who shot, edited and finished the entire production in less than a week. They are a collaborative team, and specialise in finding a way to get an amazing result regardless of the lead-time or budget.
“I think right now, it’s important for independent agencies to stand up and show how we differ from the large international network agencies. The Independent Agency Awards is a great way that we can do that, so having a chance to work on this campaign was so much fun. Especially because it’s poking a bit of fun at those large faceless holdcos.” said Cory Eisentraut.
The real goal was to have a bit of fun and show the exaggerated reaction those big network CEO’s would have to learning that while they are used to getting their way, they finally encountered something they can’t get their hands on.
The campaign is currently in market and will run until the final deadline.
