CP+B receive President's Award as industry gathers in Camden
Last night ad industry boys and girls at the top of their game partied with students taking their first few steps in their career at the Creative Circle Awards in London. They were assembled to celebrate the most ingenious work from the British industry at Camden’s Roundhouse venue.
BBH took the ‘Gold of Golds’ top award for their hard-hitting campaign for anti-domestic violence charity Refuge. The campaign, ‘Don’t’ Cover it Up’, features popular online makeup guru Lauren Luke who shocked followers by creating a tutorial on how to conceal signs of violence.
The 2013 ‘President’s Award’ was bestowed upon CP+B London ECDs Matt Gooden and Ben Walker. They took to the stage for an exuberant boogie with Creative Circle President Ed Morris.
CHI & Partners and 4Creative took three gongs each for the Sunday Times ‘Rich List’ and ‘Meet the Superheroes’ Paralympic campaigns respectively. But by far the biggest winners of the evening were Callum Prior and Marc Rayson. The Sunderland University students so impressed Morris by putting together a book on the Megabus journey down to the awards that he invited them to the stage and pleaded with the assembled creative to give them a placement – and the chaps at CP+B were happy to oblige.
