GPY&R campaign for Schweppes Australia

 

GPY&R and Schweppes Australia have released a new campaign encouraging Australian’s to drink more creatively, titled ‘Mix it Up at Home’.
 
The campaign consists of three TVC's (each featuring a different hero cocktail – Flemington Fling, Orange Mojito, and the Rum Rabbit). Flemington Fling launched first in time for the Spring Racing season and is on air from 28th October. The Orange Mojito version will air late November, and the third Easter focused TVC, Rum Rabbit, is planned for launch in 2013. Accompanying the TVC's is a significant out of home campaign.

In really is the new out, with the commercials jumping between an afternoon garden get‐together, a twilight karaoke session and a kitchen cocktail party, and featuring a pumping soundtrack from new Australian act Sierra Sisters with their track ‘Never Stop’.
 
“I’m really proud of this work, and love the sense of energy and excitement that comes across. We really want Aussie’s to abandon boring drinking, and embrace the cocktail revolution in their homes,” says Ben Goss, Senior Brand Manager at Schweppes Australia.
 
“We’re really happy with this new campaign for Schweppes. It's all part of the broader Cocktail Revolution platform launched last year, aimed at making both the Schweppes brand and their mixers products more relevant to younger people,” adds Mat Cummings, Group Account Director for Schweppes at GPY&R.
