To announce the new fingerprint door lock from Kwikset, Halo Touch, indie agency SCS produced a new spot for the brand that focuses on showing consumers how easy it can be to control access to your home with Halo Touch and the Kwikset App. The 'Smart Locks with a Simple Touch' creative works to break down the Halo Touch features into key stories with real world applications.
SCS chief creative officer John Zegowitz notes: “There’s a ton of great technology built into the full line of Halo smart locks. Our job was to show how easily all that technology can make everyday life a little easier.”
The stories are all designed around simple, relatable, real world scenarios:
Stuck at the dentist? Use remote access to let the plumber in.
Broken leg keeping you from walking Fido? Set up time fencing for the dog walker. Hands a little messy from making pasta? Unlock your door with the sound of your voice. Worried about your teenagers late night antics? Check out the Smart Lock History to see when they come home.
It’s amazing how easy good technology can make your world.
The feature storytelling resulted in a series of 15-second spots designed specifically for social media. The stories work beautifully in social carousels as well, and the simple messaging was easy to carry into digital display and retargeting ads. The spots are being broadcast via Simpli.fi’s connected TV, with supporting extensions in YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and Paid Search. By taking a bottom-up approach, SCS was able to capture the assets necessary for Kwikset to use across all channels of communication and the Kwikset website, helping keep the entire narrative of the Halo campaign coming from one conceptual voice of smart technology, made simple.
