International visibility for both its members and the best in Dutch creative work

The Art Directors Club of Europe (ADCE) today announced ADCN Club for Creativity has become a member organisation, providing the Amsterdam-based club with new international visibility for both its members and the best in Dutch creative work.

ADCE is the industry’s premiere non-profit association in the region, encompassing 22 professional clubs and associations of graphic design and advertising in 21 countries.  Founded in 1990, the Barcelona-based organisation strives to foster excellence in graphic design and advertising creativity at a European scale, represents more than 6,700 professionals from the field, and gives visibility to the best works accomplished locally.

ADCE is also part of The One Club for Creativity based in New York, the world’s foremost non-profit organisation whose mission is to support and celebrate the global creative community through programming that includes The One Show, ADC Annual Awards, ADCE Awards, ONE Asia Awards, Type Directors Club competitions, TDC Ascenders, Young Guns, Young Ones Student Awards, Next Creative Leaders, ONE Screen Short Film Festival, ONE School US and UK, ONE Creator Lab, and more.

With the addition of ADCN, global membership for the 31 clubs and organisations under The One Club for Creativity umbrella now spans more than 10,200 members in 81 countries.

“It's great to see the ADCN join the broader Art Directors Club Europe,” said Wesley ter Haar, cofounder, MediaMonks, curator of last year’s ADCE ’23 Festival, and a member of The One Club’s international board of directors. “It creates more visibility - and hopefully awards - for Dutch work.  The change also provides more opportunities for our creative talent and teams both in Europe and globally, as part of The One Club. These are amazing global opportunities we can now tap into.”

“We’re excited to welcome our Dutch colleagues into ADCE,” said Mercè Segú, executive director, ADCE. “Our plan is to grow and promote European creativity beyond the continent, bringing various benefits to our member community which, as part of The One Club, is truly global. The move enables us to expand the reach of all programmes, awards and festivals, and gain visibility and impact worldwide.”

ADCN will now be part of the only award system that brings together the best of European award-winning work under the same competition. Winners of an ADCN Lamp will be eligible to participate under advantageous conditions, including free entry for Gold Award winners and reduced entry fee for Silver, Bronze and/or Shortlist.

Other new benefits now available to ADCN members include:

  • ADCN members as part of the ADCE Awards jury.
  • Access to ADCE and The One Club activities, including festival, educational and professional development programmes, and more.
  • Access to EU funds for local or international activities hosted in the Netherlands.
  • Potential to develop strategic alliances with local partners in all countries.
  • New contacts and business opportunities.
  • A seat on the ADCE Board of Directors, and influence on European matters.
  • All ADCE winners will be incorporated into the ADCE Regional Rankings and The One Club’s benchmark Global Creative Rankings, the industry’s foremost global ranking of agencies, brands, work, and creative professionals.

The One Club for Creativity – home of The One Show, ADC Annual Awards, Art Directors Club of Europe (ADCE) awards, ONE Asia Awards, Type Directors Club and competition, TDC Ascenders, Young Guns, Young Ones Student Awards, Next Creative Leaders, ONE Screen Short Film Festival, and more – is the world’s foremost non-profit organisation whose mission is to support and celebrate the global creative community. Revenue generated from entries to its global awards shows goes back into the industry to fund programming under the organisation’s four pillars: Education, Inclusion & Diversity, Gender Equality, and Creative Development.
