6 Projects from MEA Region Head to the Immortal Awards Final Jury

Supported once again by BIG KAHUNA FILMS, this year’s jury selected their MEA Finalists on Wednesday October 25th


The second regional round of judging at this year’s Immortal Awards took place on Wednesday, October 25th as the MEA jury met in Dubai.

Continuing their support of the region’s jury day, BIG KAHUNA FILMS hosted the session which saw nine jurors from across the region meet to decide which projects from the 25-piece shortlist would go through to the final, global round of judging as MEA Finalists.

The jury selected six projects to go forward to the next round of judging, in which they will compete against the Finalists from the other regional jury days.

The Immortal Awards 2023 MEA Finalists are:

ABAAD Resource Center for Gender Equality - Dirty Laundry (Leo Burnett Lebanon)



AnNahar Newspaper - The Newspapers Inside The Newspaper Edition (Impact BBDO)




Coca Cola - I See Coke (VMLY&R Middle East)




Heinz - Ketch-Up & Down (FP7 McCann Dubai)





Heinz Arabia - The Heinzjack (FP7 McCann Dubai)




The Riky Rick Foundation - Stronger (TBWA Hunt Lascaris Johannesburg)


 

The six projects now have a chance of winning an Immortal Awards or picking up a Commendation at the global jury day on Thursday, December 7th. They will be joined by the seven European Finalists, as well as the forthcoming Finalists from the North America, LATAM, Asia and ANZ jury sessions. To check out all the Local and Regional Immortal Awards Finalists that have already been announced, click here.

This year’s MEA jury was composed of: Yasmina Boustani, creative director at Leo Burnett Dubai; Pierre Carnet, managing director at MassiveMusic Dubai; Rola Ghotmeh, founder and chief creative officer of The Creative 9; Marie Claire Maalouf, chief creative officer of Edelman UAE; Raphael Nassoura, executive creative director and GM of Momentum UAE; Ali Rez, chief creative officer MENAP at Impact BBDO Group; Eddy Rizk, founder and chief executive officer of BIG KAHUNA FILMS; Aliza Siddiqi, senior copywriter at FP7McCann Dubai; and Thomas Young, creative director at MullenLowe MENA.
