Judging for this year’s The Immortal Awards kicked off last week, as the Ireland jury day was held in person in Dublin on Tuesday 1st October.
The day, supported by Brill Building, Banjoman and Screen Scene, saw Ireland’s finest creative minds gather to decide which projects, if any, were to receive Irish Finalist status and qualify for the regional European round of judging.
The jury session saw a shortlist of 18 projects, which scored highest in the first round of online judging, discussed and debated by a jury from the market.
Ultimately, five projects were identified and championed as the best of Irish commercial creativity from the past year.
The Immortal Awards 2024 Irish Finalists are:
EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum - Boys of the NYPD Choir (submitted by The Public House)
Gas Networks Ireland - Dial Before You Dig (submitted by Publicis Dublin)
Heineken - Pub Museums (submitted by Publicis Dublin and LePub)
Samaritans - 26 Minutes (submitted by Droga5 Dublin)
Virgin Media - Playces (submitted by Publicis Dublin)
The five projects will go up against the Finalists from the other European jury days - including the Netherlands, UK, Germany, France, Spain and the Nordics - as well as the best work from around the region at the European round of judging on Thursday 24th October. They’ll be competing for a place in the final, global round of judging and ultimately a chance at winning an Immortal Award or Commendation.
