The 2025 Indie Awards are now live and open for submissions. The global awards run by thenetworkone celebrate creative excellence in the independent agency sector across the marketing, PR, communications and advertising industries.
Now with 28 categories to enter, thenetworkone seeks to spotlight the best creative indie talent in the world. Often the independent agencies are overlooked in the other award shows or simply do not have the same budgets as the big holding networks for the case study videos or the endless time to submit entries as they are so laser focussed on their client needs. But we know that they are more creative, disruptive, innovative and agile and deserve to be recognised for their work, so we want to give them an opportunity to shine through.
Julian Boulding, founder of thenetworkone, says, "The real magic of the Indie Awards is that they are about quality, not size. The top prize winner in any category is as likely to be the world’s largest independent, as it is to be a small or newly started agency. Our awards are designed to honour and amplify the entrepreneurial spirit of the independent agencies. But it's not just about creativity; independent agencies are competing on the international stage against the largest holding companies and networks. Their agility, flexibility, and innovative approaches allow them to go head-to-head with industry giants, delivering exceptional results and earning client trust."
This awards programme and the entries are judged by independent peers from across the world. The full list of internationally recognised judges is now available on the Awards website and is drawn from agency founders and CEOs as well as leading creative directors from leading agencies across the world, from the UK to Ghana and Croatia to China. The ceremony will kindly hosted by Four Communications in London on 22nd January 2025.
Nic Kostouros, Promise, South Africa who won best in show in 2023/24 said, "It feels surreal to be a winner in these awards, you are always putting a best foot forward and looking for, and working with, the best talent; and to be recognised on a global platform is incredible. There are lots of other award shows, but we really need to shine a light on independents so their work can contribute to the story and narrative of the current time."
Cornelia Lamberty. Moccamedia Germany, who won the ‘Indie Legend’ award in 2023/24 said, "To win Indie Legend – the first winner in this category – I was deeply thankful to win this award as there were so many amazing people who entered so it is a real honour. I would recommend entering the Indie Awards so independents can present their work to be known and recognised all over the world."
