The Spikes Asia Festival of Creativity closed with a highly anticipated Awards Show to honour the very best work from across Asia-Pacific’s branded communications industry in 2019. 3945 entries were submitted this year in the Spikes Asia Awards, spanning a broad spectrum of creative disciplines, including the new Creative eCommerce Spike Award, launched in 2019, and Glass – the Award for Change, launched in 2018. Spikes Asia juries are comprised of industry experts from across APAC, who bring a diversity of backgrounds and specialisms to judge and award creative excellence in the region. In the Young Spikes Competitions, there is a winning team from Mongolia this year, demonstrating the incredible level of up-and-coming talent from emerging parts of the region, alongside established markets.

From 450 entries received, 42 Spikes were awarded: 6 Gold Spikes, 12 Silver, 23 Bronze and the Grand Prix was presented to ‘The Open Door Project’, for The Millennium School, by FCB India, Delhi, India

In the first year, 53 entries were received, and 4 Spikes Awards were presented: 3 Spikes, as well as the Grand Prix that went to ‘Hagglebot’, for Flipkart Internet Pvt Ltd, by Dentsu Webchutney, Bangalore, India
Creative Effectiveness
From 33 entries, 4 Spikes were awarded in Creative Effectiveness: 3 Spikes and the Grand Prix win for ‘Project Free Period’, for Johnson & Johnson, by DDB Mudra, Mumbai, India

In Design, from a total of 304 entries, 34 Spikes were awarded: 7 Gold Spikes / 9 Silver Spikes /17 Bronze Spikes. ‘Signs of Love’, for ANZ Bank Australia, by Revolver / Will O'Rourke, Sydney / TBWA\Melbourne, Australia took the Grand Prix
