Artworks donated to NABS’ 2024 Art Auction have raised £18.5K.
All of the funds raised will go directly towards funding NABS’ support services.
More than 300 artworks were put up for auction, with some well-known names behind the artwork including Sir John Hegarty, Rosie Arnold and Mark Denton as well as people working at all levels in the industry and established artists.
The artwork that raised the most money was Ad Mundes Bibens (image attached) by the noted artist and cartographer Adam Dant, which went to the highest bidder for £1000. Dant created the picture especially for NABS. It depicts in map form the world of the advertising agency, with a sardonic nod to ‘the brave pioneers who discovered the pub in publicity’.
The Art Auction comprised live events in London, Manchester and Edinburgh, as well as an online auction, ensuring that people across the country could bid.
Sue Todd, CEO, NABS, said, “The Art Auction is a fantastic way to raise essential funds. We’re lucky to have so many talented people working in our industry, along with established artists, who contributed their brilliant artworks for a good cause. Congratulations and thank you as well to all of our successful bidders.”
