Yessian Music is expanding its team this month as they welcome Jordan Rich to the New York studio bolstering its composer roster. Though Jordan is new to Yessian, he is an industry veteran, having worked in the entertainment and commercial television industry for nearly a decade.
“We are thrilled to add Jordan to our expanding team in New York,” says Brian Yessian, partner and CCO. “We’ve had the opportunity to work with Jordan as a freelance composer for many years now and he became one of our regular calls on projects. Jordan brings a fresh perspective to the work we do and he has serious global experience working across the UK, US and UAE.”
While Jordan is based in New York, he will work across all of Yessian’s studios and collaborate with the teams in their work for commercials, live shows, immersive media and themed entertainment. His collaboration with the Yessian Music composers and sound designers around the world will strengthen creative quality and offerings on all platforms.
“I’ve long admired Yessian’s work so I’m truly inspired to be collaborating with such diversely talented, creative, and supportive people," says Jordan. “As a composer, I’m excited to bring my unique musical perspective and passion for audiovisual storytelling to the team as we explore the potential of original music across new media and experiential applications. I can’t wait to dive in!”
Growing up in both the UK and Dubai, Jordan started playing piano from five years old and subsequently fell in love with music production and writing music as soon as he got his very first MacBook, messing around with GarageBand. He attended the Berklee College of Music with a major in Contemporary Writing and Production mixed with a minor in Record Production. During his college years, Jordan recorded and performed with several bands in the Boston DIY scene and interned at recording studios before moving to NYC to pursue media composition. He currently records and performs with the bands ’S.C.A.B.’ and ‘Plastic Waves’ as well as mixes and produces music for other artists. Some of Jordan’s favorite projects he has written on over the years include Apple iPhone 14, Mercedes-Benz EQE and United Airlines World Orchestra.
