"There Is No Greater Love" is a 1936 jazz standard composed by Isham Jones, with lyrics by Marty Symes. It was the last hit song for Jones's orchestra before he turned the orchestra over to Woody Herman, beginning the latter's 50-year career as a bandleader.
It's since been covered by Jazz legends such as Miles Davis, Chet Baker and Duke Ellington to name a small handful.
The list of iconic artists to cover this song also extends to Billie Holiday, Nat King Cole, Etta James and most recently, Amy Winehouse on her 2003 album 'Frank.
