Wise Music Tune of the Week: ‘Hiraeth’

This week's tune of the week is the recently released single “Hiraeth” by Anoushka Shankar. The song will appear in Chapter III: We Return to Light, scheduled for release March 14, 2025. The album will complete a triptych inspired by where she was raised: London, Southern California, and now finally, India.

Hiraeth features looping melodies and backwards sarod lines and for the keen listeners and fans, it features an Easter egg in the form of Raga Palas Kafi, created by Ravi Shankar.
