The winners of the Golden Drum Festical 2019 have been announced in Portorož, Slovenia.
The recipient of the Golden Net award - awarded to the most successful agency network - is McCann Worldgroup for the fourth year in a row. The Golden Rose, for the best advertising agency, went to Publicis Italy in Milan, while SOK Media Helsinki won the Golden Dragon for best independent agency.
Golden Drum's WHAT and WHY Competitions were also awarded. The best of WHAT went to Diesel’s 'Hate Couture' solution entered in group E: digital & mobile by Publicis Italy. ThisAbles from McCann TLV for IKEA was recognised as the best of WHY as well as the best of Good was an entry from group Z: social good. The work brought its creative directors Eldad Weinberger, Nadav Pressman, Sigal Abudy and Adrian Bota the Golden Watch for creative director of the year. The Brand Grand Prix also went to IKEA. The Golden Drum Adriatic, brought by Telemach, went to McCann Beograd’s campaign 'I (dis)own my child'. The campaign was awarded also with the new best of Genius Loci Award.
In total, 62 Silver Drum, 37 Golden Drum and 9 Grands Prix awards were presented to the best works entered this year.
The Young Drummers Competition, in collaboration with the Slovenian Tourist Board, offered an opportunity to creatives younger than 30 to work on a brief titled 'Slovenia, land of clean and healthy waters', where the jury was most convinced by Mythical Water-Creatures, created by Austrian Christina Pribitzer.
