At iProspect, we believe that our employees are more than just their job titles. They're talented, multifaceted individuals with unique interests and hobbies that make them who they are. Many of our employees possess a unique trademark - a special skill or passion that is exclusive to them, making them stand out in their own way. It's what we like to call their "IP."
In this edition of "What's Your IP," we interviewed Whitney Antwine a director of paid search at iProspect. Read on to discover how Whitney uses music as her stress reliever, her memorable debut performance, her typical workday in the dynamic environment of iProspect, and what sets the company's culture apart in her eyes
Whitney> I'm a singer and songwriter influenced by pop, hip hop, and dance music. I'm a firm believer in just going for it. I recently turned 38, and I've never really ventured into something like this before. The reason was that I used to feel intimidated, thinking I wasn't good enough, unique enough, or simply not adequate. It took me a long time to overcome those doubts.
Whitney> Making music is honestly my go-to stress reliever. It's what helps me stay balanced, especially since I, like everyone else, grapple with mental wellness challenges. I crave that creative outlet because without it, I feel unfulfilled. So, I intentionally set aside time for it because, to be frank, it's what truly fuels my passion. I don't want my work to feel like just work. While I do enjoy what we do, there's a stress factor involved, with urgent requests and last-minute deadlines.
Whitney> Just two weeks ago, I had my debut performance as a singer-songwriter. It was a collaboration with a group of local artists in the DFW area. I can't quite put it into words, but the atmosphere was filled with love and boundless energy. I didn't feel intimidated at all; it was more like, 'Let's do this!' It was an incredibly fun experience, and it meant a lot to me. What made it even more special was witnessing a live audience's response to my music, even though I haven't officially released it yet.
Whitney> Despite my ADHD, I thrive in our dynamic environment. Each day presents fresh challenges and opportunities for team collaboration beyond just checking emails. Working in the highly regulated financial services sector demands strict compliance and attention to detail. We handle real-time news updates and reputation management, making our work both unpredictable and exciting. Our vast audience and our involvement in paid search presents unique challenges. We can't actively target specific groups in some areas, but these limitations, paradoxically, fuel creativity. Our team enjoys tackling these challenges in a positive and creative way.
Whitney> What really connects me to iProspect is the agency's authenticity. I've never worked with such an incredible and extensive group of individuals before. It may sound funny, but it's a departure from previous agencies where you'd connect with only a handful of people. Here, it feels different - everyone is part of this genuine community. I can't quite put it into words, but there's something special about this place. It's not just about culture; it's a positive and inclusive one. I'm incredibly proud to be a part of it.
