To promote the limited time offer of the new Ghost Pepper Ranch Chicken sandwich, the spiciest sandwich they have ever offered, Wendy’s has partnered with McCann Canada to launch the ‘Don’t Be Afraid’ campaign. Just in time for National Paranormal Day on May 3rd, the campaign shows consumers that there are scarier things than spice – like the Witching Hour, (according to folklore, 3 - 4:00 A.M. is when supernatural events are most likely to occur), National Paranormal Day and Ouija boards, to name three.
While the limited offer is available in restaurants Wendy’s will be launching posts at 3:00 A.M. aka the Witching Hour, offering exclusive promos for any night owls brave enough to redeem it via the Wendy’s App and Rewards. And in celebration of National Paranormal Day, Wendy’s will also be challenging consumers to Tweet a story that’s scarier than Ghost Pepper spice. Participants will be 'chosen' by a custom Wendy’s We’ja board for the chance to receive a We’ja board of their own.
‘Don’t Be Afraid’ launched on May 1st and will run on TV, Digital, Mobile and Social through May 28th of this year. The Ghost Pepper Ranch Chicken Sandwich is available while supplies last.
