We Are Social Make Senior Hires

Global social media agency We Are Social has made a raft of senior hires in its London headquarters, following another six months of impressive growth.

The hires include Hypernaked’s James Irvine, who joins the agency as a group account director. Irvine was previously a strategic account director at Hypernaked having spent two years at the agency, working across brands within the Mars Petcare and Merisant portfolios.

Before Hypernaked, he held account director roles at CST Advertising and Publicis. At We Are Social, he will oversee a portfolio of client accounts as well as driving new business for the agency.

We Are Social has also brought on board Mark Wainwright as a senior account director on its adidas team, working across a number of different categories, including Men's Training, miadidas, Rugby and Tennis. Mark joins from Launch PR, where he was a senior digital consultant, leading the day-to-day running of Launch’s digital team, for clients including Tesco, Disney, Virgin.  

Lisa Hardy also joins the agency as an account director, working across a number of clients including Thorpe Park and Kleenex. She was previously an account director at specialist social media agency Social Fuel, working on social strategies for Reckitt Benckiser, Dulux and Travelodge, amongst others. 

We Are Social has also appointed journalist and blogger Emma Gannon, formerly of Edelman, as a senior account manager. Gannon regularly contributes to the Huffington Post and The Telegraph, and writes the lifestyle blog girllostinthecity.com. Nick Dodd also joins the agency from digital marketing agency Leapfrogg as a senior account manager, working on Jaguar UK and global.

Following this recent growth, We Are Social now has 350 employees worldwide, with 115 in its London headquarters.
