Goodby Silverstein & Partners launch a new TV spot for the Golden State Warriors, as part of their recently launched ‘We Are Dub Nation’ campaign. Along with the anthem spot, the campaign from GS&P includes more tv spots, radio commercials, in-stadium branding, and social ads.
“There’s so much love for the Dubs from all over the Bay Area. This spot shows that the love is mutual,” said Amanda Chin, VP of brand marketing for the Golden State Warriors. “Our fanbase is widespread. The team doesn’t represent a city, they play for the entire Bay area and beyond. GS&P did a great job of bringing that idea to life."
“We wanted to connect with the Warriors fans on a deeper level, by celebrating where they come from,” said Anthony O’Neill, associate creative director at GS&P. “It’s a celebration of the real bay area. There’s beauty in the bay that you won’t find on a postcard. The places that people who grew up here know and love."
GSP’s campaign builds on a five-year relationship with the Warriors. During the 2018-19 NBA season, the agency collaborated with the Warriors and commemorated the team’s last regular-season game in Oracle Arena by ‘retiring’ the number 47. A banner celebrates the 47 historic seasons the Warriors played in Oakland, California, and hangs in the rafters of the new Warriors home at Chase Center.
In addition to the Warriors, GS&P works for BMW, Pepsi, Doritos, Cheetos, Liberty Mutual Insurance and Comcast.
