Following on from their successful Father’s Day campaign, notonthehighstreet.com – the UK’s largest online marketplace which champions small businesses – has created a storytime app to help make children’s storytimes less ordinary.
The ‘Storytime Sounds’ app, created by WCRS, brings stories to life with a range of fun sound effects for children of all ages.
The free iPhone app contains five themes which allow the user to explore outer space one night, visit a lost world the next, then sail the seven seas. Whether reading from a book or making up a story, the storyteller can pick from a range of less ordinary themes.
The app is available for download from iTunes via this link.
Ben Carter, Marketing Director, Notonthehighstreet.com said: "Much is made of technology and its impact on traditional family life, particularly when it comes to mobile phones. Here at notonthehighstreet.com, we wanted to demonstrate through the creation of our Storytime Sounds app that technology can actually enhance those magical family moments."
Emma Marsland, Managing Partner, WCRS said: “Everything Notonthehighstreet do in the daytime is pretty extraordinary. We wanted to extend that to bedtime and equip parents with turbo-boosted storytelling powers, making them even more heroic to their kids than before.”
