Versace Jeans Couture has joined forces with BRAVÒ to bring their Fall-Winter 2023 campaign to life, 'VJC Artist Residency'. Shot in Belgrade, Serbia, the campaign builds on a legacy of innovative aesthetics and unfiltered individuality, to create an intertwining of art, life, and fashion that serve as a testament to the brand’s commitment to celebrating cutting edge youth culture.
BRAVÒ STUDIO served as the partner for the campaign ideation with creative direction by Ivan Olita, and worked in tandem with its sister company BRAVÒ NETWORK to bring on director Saddiq Abubakar, who’s film seizes this unique orchestration of camaraderie and collaboration within an artist residency.
Influenced by his personal experiences living for several years in a Berlin artist community while honing his directorial path, the film is a meditative exploration of individuality and shared inspiration. It centers around the artists’ individual practices, visualizing a social space fused together by the essence of avant-garde artistry.
The campaign captures resident artists in their unique habitats of inspiration, with photographs full of authenticity and nostalgic textures by photographer Emily Lipson.
"Collaborating with Versace Jeans Couture is always fulfilling. We are entrusted with the mission of embodying the youthful spirit originally envisioned by Gianni and Donatella Versace in the 1988 and bringing it to life in the present," said Ivan Olita. "This collaboration enables us to discover new talents and provide them a platform to express their unique vision."
The campaign will roll out across strategically placed billboards, OOH displays, and online platforms globally across the month.
