Post production company Creep shares its latest work for dairy brand Emmi.
VFX artist, Ben Watson shares few words about this piece and talks through his process, "The idea for the advert was to create multiple different environments depicting everyday situations using visual effects, rather than hiring out multiple locations for what is - in the end - only a 20 second advert. Working closely with the director and agency to shape these environments for the film, I used a few different techniques combining references, hand made models and AI generated art to hone the look of each space. Once everyone was happy with the feeling and ideas, I then created our scenes as fully customisable 3D environments before we filmed anything in the studio so that we knew how things would look, could be framed up on the day, and lit for our actors."
"As Emmi was going through a brand refresh with their campaign, I wanted to incorporate their new brand elements into the environments as much as possible. Little details to enhance the world of Emmi such as; all the adverts in the train scene are the OOH elements we ultimately made for the campaign, and I blended the iconic cappuccino pattern into the carpet and wallpaper of the office and birthday scenes respectively. The result makes an authentic and stylistic look to the film, and even if the product isn’t totally obvious from the start, the brand is there."
"Our goal was to create very detailed, interesting and ultimately great looking frames for the commercial, giving the whole thing lots of energy and excitement, ultimately reflecting what the product is - coffee."
