Tyler DeAngelo Joins StrawberryFrog NY as ECD
StrawberryFrog NY has enhanced its focus as the world's first cultural movement agency by hiring Tyler DeAngelo as Executive Creative Director from the William Morris Endeavor agency, which represents artists across all media platforms, specifically movies, television, music, theater, digital and publishing.
"We welcome Tyler as our new Executive Creative Director. Tyler is an extraordinary thinker, innovator and creative leader who over the course of his career has produced amazing work for some impressive brands as diverse as Verizon, AB InBev, Sony PlayStation, Intel and Diageo. Beyond the work, he also has been an innovator in terms of agency models, most recently at William Morris Endeavor where he helped the agency expand its capabilities and scope of work. StrawberryFrog Co-Founder and COO Karin Drakenberg and I, along with the rest of the Frog team, are delighted to have Tyler on board," said Scott Goodson, Founder and CEO of StrawberryFrog.
DeAngelo succeeds ECD Shayne Millington who departed the agency earlier this month.
While at William Morris Endeavor, DeAngelo and his team created a number of campaigns that were the first of their kind for WME and its IMG properties as well as WME’s independent clients. These included developing the first fan voted All-Star Team in eSports, the first MLB souvenir cup designed to make it easier to catch homeruns and the first VR experience for the NBA - all for AB InBev. While at WME, DeAngelo also led the rebranding of IMG’s Professional Bull Rider’s and helped write the “Hold On” anthem for WME client Steven Tyler who included it in his latest solo album, “We’re All Somebody from Somewhere.”
DeAngelo said, “I've always admired Scott and this innovative agency. Like the StrawberryFrog team I believe in the power of creativity, tech and culture and the even higher degree of power all three have when seamlessly combined to support ground breaking ideas.”
Prior to WME, DeAngelo was ECD at mcgarrybowen where he led the Intel and Verizon teams. Earlier he was ECD at Havas Worldwide where his clients included Sony PlayStation. DeAngelo began his advertising career at the Grey Group where he helped develop some of the first integrated campaigns for Frontier Airlines, K-Mart and Tanqueray. After Grey, he founded the boutique creative agency Modern Publicity which he ran for three years before moving to Devito Verdi as Integrated Creative Director. While at Devito Verdi, DeAngelo also taught at the Miami Ad School
His work has been featured in Wired, The New York Times, Make Magazine, CBS News, The Creators Project and awarded at the Cannes Lions, the One Show, Webby’s as well as the Effies, among others.
