After scouring the world for the very best talent, Mother has found three creative directors and persuaded them to join the agency - all at the same time.
Derek Man Lui and Tomas Coleman are creative directors who first teamed up at W+K London, before being hired by Felix at Droga5 New York. Derek has worked in China, Europe, the US, and the UK for agencies including BBH and AKQA. Before moving to the agency side, whilst Tom previously worked at Welsh brands Hiut Denim Co and The DO Lectures. Their previous work includes the first-ever global brand platform for Meta, and Quickbooks’ nightmarish campaigns targeting small businesses. Tom also developed the ever-popular Sainsbury’s Christmas work.
Molly Wilkof joins from adam&eveDDB, where she was creative director for a little under three years. Previous to that, Molly worked at W+K and Droga5 in London, and Barton F Graf in New York. Her work includes the excellent ‘Yes Good’ for Emerald and Nike’s Toughest Athletes, alongside Derek. Outside of branded work, she is the creator of TikTok sensation Worm Girlfriend (if you have a spare half hour, it is worth the watch).
Felix Richter, Mother's CCO, commented, “I’ve been trying to work with these three for a very long time. I almost managed it with Tom and Derek, but I left to join Mother before they started at Droga. Molly resisted our attempts to contact her for a while, so I’m most thankful she finally returned the call. I can’t wait to see what we will do together.”
