The&Partnership Manchester have been appointed as the creative agency for Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM), following a successful seven-way pitch process. The agency will work in partnership with the in-house agency team at TfGM to develop and deliver marketing campaigns, as well as supporting social and digital services.
Partnering with TfGM at what is a critical point in their journey towards delivering the Bee Network – which is TfGM’s vision for an integrated London-style transport system joining up buses, trams, rail as well as cycling and walking.
As part of this plan, TfGM is delivering the UK’s largest cycling and walking network, connecting every area and community in Greater Manchester making it easy, safe, and attractive for people to travel on foot or by bike for everyday trips.
Jo Taylor, head of brand, marketing, design and digital, TFGM says, “We’re constantly trying to push the creative boundaries of what’s expected of a public sector organisation, so we can affect real behaviour change with our audiences. We wanted a creative partner that understood this as, as well as our sector, geography, the communities that we serve and our strategy of unifying and improving the services through the launch of the Bee Network. In The&Partnership Manchester, we found that partner.”
Mark Newnes, group managing director, The&Partnership Manchester says, “We’re absolutely thrilled to be working with Transport for Greater Manchester. TfGM plays a significant role in serving communities across the region and we’re honoured to be their partner, especially at a time of significant change. With the integration of services under the Bee Network and delivery of key projects such as bus operations, and the upgrade of greener travel opportunities, this partnership will enable us to use our full capabilities to communicate the benefits to the whole region.”
It’s the first time a single supplier has been awarded the contract, unlike previous years where agencies were required to pitch for individual projects.
This new approach is set to enable a more strategically focused relationship between The&Partnership Manchester and Transport for Greater Manchester, working together to further integrate transport services and encourage residents to make more sustainable transport choices when travelling around the region.
