Following the success of last year’s partnership, Lexus and Secret Escapes are back to showcase the design credentials of the all-new Lexus UX to discerning travellers in the UK. Together, the car brand and luxury travel company are embarking on urban adventures around the UK to promote how its sleek design, modern luxury and smart technologies make the Lexus UX perfect for any city road trip.
Running for 10 weeks and building on the buzz already created by the Lexus UX’s launch campaign, Secret Escapes’ UK audience of 22 million design-loving members will be taken on a journey in the Lexus UX with interior design influencer Sommer Pyne, visiting some of London and Edinburgh’s most striking attractions and hand-picked hotels.
The story will unfold on social, with audiences following city explorers @housecurious and her husband on Instagram as they visit the trendiest hangouts and some of the finest design hotels in the country.
Content will also position the Lexus UX as the perfect vehicle for urban escapes across websites, social platforms and display; reaching new audiences and converting test drive leads online. A Lexus Escapes’ microsite will also amplify the partnership, sitting within the Secret Escapes’ main website and featuring bespoke, expert city guides, a look book of the world’s best design hotels and a recommendation of curated high-end properties.
Throughout the partnership, holiday-goers making a domestic booking with Secret Escapes will be invited to enter a prize draw for the chance to win use of a Lexus UX for their staycation. There will be two winners each week for the duration of the partnership, with the competition managed and fulfilled by Lexus UK.
"It was great to see our relationship continue with Lexus with the launch of the UX. With creativity and innovation being such an integral part of both the luxury hotel and automotive industry, it was very natural fit to create a designer hotel collection using our two brands. It has been an incredibly fun ride to date and we very much look forward to more road trip action with our Lexus colleagues." George Hiles, Global Head of Media, Secret Escapes
“We are really excited for the next activity from these brands to kick off. They sit so well together, and we have been able to feed our learnings from last year in to our planning for this partnership extension, which we hope will deliver more great results for clients.” Laura Varnam, Head of Partnerships, The&Partnership
“The launch of our latest compact SUV seemed like the perfect opportunity to team up with Secret Escapes to explore the urban environments of London and Edinburgh in the all new Lexus UX – the two brands have such an authentic fit and we’re really pleased to have teamed up again.” Emma Lane, Brand Communications Manager, Lexus UK
