VCCP’s latest international campaign is promoting the thirteenth annual International Summit of Gastronomy, Madrid Fusión. The food festival, which is the largest event of its kind worldwide, is currently taking place in the Spanish capital.
The focus of the campaign is the short film “WilliaM: The Man with Two Mouths”, which tells the unusual tale of the difficulties faced by a man who has a rare physical peculiarity – two mouths.
We see his heightened struggle with day-to-day activities – from the dentist to the minefield of dating. “I always try to be an outgoing guy”, he tells us – but something is missing.
His search for a place where his physical quirk and his own individual philosophy on life – “I know I’m different, but I’m also aware that normality is overrated,” he declares at one point – are accepted eventually leads him to Madrid Fusión 2015.
The campaign, which was created by VCCP Madrid, aims to create a buzz around the launch of the annual food festival. Within a few hours of its release, the film had been shared on Twitter and social media by some of the world’s most renowned chefs and food critics, as well as media and the general public.
