VML Canada has been tapped by the Toronto Public Library Foundation (TPLF) to support the organisation’s future fundraising initiatives.
Since its inception in 1997, the Toronto Public Library Foundation has raised $117 million from individuals, corporations, and foundations in support of Toronto Public Library (TPL) - the biggest and busiest public library system in North America. With 100 branches across the city and over 1.2 million registered library card holders, the Library provides residents with free access to technology, literacy, education, health, and social resources that are critical to succeed and flourish in the city. The Library is so much more than a repository of books. 81% of Torontonians use the Library and it’s a transformative force for good at the centre of the city’s many diverse and distinct communities.
“Residents in our city are facing many urgent challenges including financial insecurity, barriers to learning, and increased loneliness - the Library can help. No other public institution has the trust, the reach, and the infrastructure to support Torontonians the way the Toronto Public Library does. The team at TPLF looks forward to working with the experts at VML to develop innovative ways to tell the Library’s powerful stories, help the TPL Foundation reach new audiences and ultimately grow our philanthropic community,” commented Will Scott, CEO of the Toronto Public Library Foundation.
“We are ready to jump in, get to work and help the TPL Foundation raise awareness, and significant funds, for one of the most important institutions in Toronto. We need to celebrate the expansive power of the Library, now more than ever.” said Graham Lang, chief creative officer of VML Canada.
