The Association of Advertising & Marketing Singapore (AAMS), the leading industry body representing Singapore's advertising and marketing community, has honoured The One Club-APAC’s Tay Guan Hin as recipient of its 2025 Hall of Fame Visionary Award.
The prestigious award, presented at last week’s Singapore Admarcom Festival 2025, celebrates an individual who has consistently demonstrated exceptional creativity, innovation, and strategic brilliance in the field of advertising. Honourees have significantly influenced the direction and landscape of advertising in Singapore by taking risks, pushing boundaries, and inspiring others through innovative campaigns and ground breaking work that set new standards for the industry.
A long-time creative leader in Asia Pacific, Tay joined the global non-profit One Club for Creativity last year in the newly created position of APAC regional director for awards, programs, and partnerships. His primary focus is on growing the ONE Asia Creative Awards, elevating all of the club’s programming and membership in the region, and supporting a thriving regional creative community through strategic partnerships, regional events, and educational programs.
Tay was previously at BBDO Singapore, where he was creative chairman and a BBDO Asia Creative Council member. In addition to founding TGH Collective, a successful independent creative boutique agency, his experience includes leadership positions at regional and global agencies such as WundermanThompson, Grey, Leo Burnett, and Saatchi & Saatchi for blue chip clients including Visa, Unilever, Audi, HSBC, Nestle, Shell, Abbott Nutrition, Johnson & Johnson, and others.
Tay co-founded The Crowbar Awards, Singapore’s first student awards, underscoring his commitment to nurturing new talent. A passionate advocate for young creatives, he mentors aspiring professionals through The One Club’s Portfolio Night and student awards programs.
He has also authored the best-selling Penguin book 'COLLIDE', presented at TEDx conferences, served as President of Asia Professional Speakers, and currently sits on The One Club’s International Board of Directors.
“Tay Guan Hin is not just a visionary in advertising, but a true mentor and educator who has dedicated his career to uplifting the next generation of creative professionals,” said Kevin Swanepoel, CEO, the One Club. “His impact goes beyond ground breaking campaigns; it’s felt in the careers he’s helped shape, and the creative community he’s inspired to reach new heights.”
The One Club for Creativity – home of The One Show, ADC Annual Awards, Art Directors Club of Europe (ADCE) awards, ONE Asia Awards, Type Directors Club and competition, TDC Ascenders, Young Guns, Young Ones Student Awards, Next Creative Leaders, ONE Screen Short Film Festival, and more – is the world’s foremost non-profit organisation whose mission is to support and celebrate the global creative community. Revenue generated from entries to its global awards shows goes back into the industry to fund programming under the organisation’s four pillars: Education, Inclusion & Diversity, Gender Equality, and Creative Development.
