The 'Unbeatable Internet' directed by Traktor spans TV, social and digital

On Monday, May 9, 2022, Xfinity kicks off a campaign to promote its new 'Unbeatable Internet'. The new campaign, by Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, San Francisco, spotlights how Xfinity Internet can help you do anything – just like the everyday characters Helms is known to portray on the big screen – so that one can be 'unbeatable'.

The effort spans TV, social and digital. In the campaign, Xfinity Internet catapults Helms through outer space, with speeds faster than a gig. The incredible bandwidth of Xfinity’s newest supersonic gateway, connecting hundreds of devices at once, allows Helms to duplicate himself to achieve ultimate productivity.

Helms is not alone in his endeavour to be unbeatable –  he has his sidekicks, Evander Holyfield, who brings the cybersecurity protection of Xfinity’s Advanced Security feature to life by protecting Helms from hackers in a coffee shop, and FaZe Swagg, from FaZe Clan battles a villain in partnership with Helms in a virtual game they are playing.

“America’s favourite best friend, Ed Helms, perfectly embodies the spirit of supersonic WiFi and how with Xfinity Internet, anyone can be unbeatable,” said Sophie Ahmad, EVP and CMO, Comcast Cable. “Only Xfinity Internet brings together the best connection, fastest speeds, complete security, and all-around best experience to deliver truly unbeatable Internet.”

Jim Elliott, executive creative director, GS&P, comments: “The internet is so much at the center of our lives these days, connecting us instantly to all those things that bring us excitement and joy. Nobody does that better than Xfinity, so we thought…let’s make that excitement and joy palpable and electrifying for viewers. Let’s put our Supersonic WiFi in the hands of a relatable guy like Ed and watch him become a wide-eyed, white-knuckled superhuman.”
