The world-famous Body Worlds & The Cycle of Life exhibit has opened in Boston at the Museum of Science and A&G is inspiring people to 'Look Inside' themselves in a way they likely never had before and understand how lifestyle choices affect our bodies.
At the Body Worlds & The Cycle of Life exhibit, Museum of Science visitors can experience the human life cycle, through specimens that capture the body at every stage – at its most healthy, as it changes, grows, matures, and finally wanes. All systems that make up the human body, skeletal, nervous, muscular, circulatory and respiratory systems are demonstrated through 100+ human specimens including 12 full bodies, which are preserved via plastination.
For TV and video content, A&G partnered with TEN31 to create custom designed Body Suits that were inspired by the plastinates themselves. A&G’s brand experience team led efforts with A&G’s creative team to have TEN31 design suits that brought to life what a plastinate would look like.
The walking 'Body Worlds' plastinate actors were filmed doing a variety of everyday activities in Boston such as taking the 'T' to Science Park, painting in the Boston Common, playing sports, taking selfies on the Longfellow Bridge and the George Washington Statue in the Boston Public Garden.
To extend the idea into social media, the team identified different situations that the plastinate could partake in that mimic choices that we make each day that impact our bodies: playing soccer, taking the stairs vs. escalator, eating a burger, etc.
A&G’s media team made sure the work will be seen and heard everywhere in the Boston area, from TV and radio to out of home, print, digital and social media.
