The Line will direct and produce an anime-inspired short to promote the highly anticipated Warframe: 1999 update later this year. The collaboration was officially announced by Digital Extremes at TennoCon, where they unveiled an exclusive style frame from the film, teasing what’s to come.
The film will be directed by Venla Linna, known for her directorial debut film 'Heavenly Vessel'. The Line team will be sharing more teasers throughout production, giving Warframe fans a rare glimpse behind the scenes on production, promising to show characters in a whole new format for the very first time.
Laura Breaden, MD at The Line commented: “This collaboration with the Digital Extremes team is incredibly special to us. It's not everyday you get to work alongside such a deeply
passionate creative team for an equally passionate community! The project has started off beautifully and we absolutely cannot WAIT to reveal more as the production progresses.”
The Anime Short is set to release this November but you can expect work in progress concept art, character designs and more, on The Line’s social media channels in the coming months.
