Julian Andrews was introduced to the industry at a very early age, as his father was a partner in a design agency. He went on his first shoot when he was seven, modelling a swimming aid for a job the old man’s agency was doing.
Julian has worked as a creative for over 25 years. Along with many helpful colleagues, he’s made $2million TV ads, but also music videos, rubber envelopes, mobile games, useful objects, and a pie that was free with a beer.
Prior to his New Zealand life, Julian worked in London – with a long stint at Saatchi & Saatchi. After this, he made the move to NZ in 2010, joining TBWA Auckland in 2012.
Some of Julian’s career highlights include having work featured on the Daily Show with Jon Stewart, winning video of the year at the MTV VMAs, running an election campaign for the UK labour party and helping win Australasia’s only yellow D&AD pencil a couple of years back.
He currently lives in Grey Lynn, Auckland with his wife, daughter and rabbit.
