TBWA\Media Arts Lab, the bespoke advertising agency dedicated to Apple, announced today the addition of Lucia Orlandi as group creative director. Orlandi will report directly to Media Arts Lab’s global chief creative officer, Brent Anderson.
Orlandi joins directly from Squarespace, where she led all things brand design. Previously, she had been director, head of design at I&CO, where she ran the creative department, focusing on new products and brands that create impact for clients including Audible and Theory. Prior to that, Lucia had been a creative director at R/GA in New York, leading work for Mailchimp, LEGO, Google and ESPN.
“Lucia is a multidisciplinary creative leader who has built an impressive track record leading many different types of teams and structures across multiple clients,” said Anderson. “Her combined tech and agency background makes her a unique fit for MAL. We’re thrilled to bring her on board to drive impactful, modern, bottom-up-and-new-shaped, beautiful, integrated work for Apple.”
In 2017, Lucia was named a One Club and 3% Movement: Next Creative Leader. She was named one of The Dots’ 200 Women Redefining the Creative Industry in 2018. Her work has been recognized through top industry awards, including Cannes Lions, D&AD and the Art Directors Club. Lucia has contributed to 100 Archive, Ladies Get Paid and Where Are the Boss Ladies.
