With the Winter Olympics around the corner, New York creative agency StrawberryFrog and SunTrust Banks have introduced a new campaign, 'Saving for Your Dreams,' to inspire parents to plan and save for their kids’ ambitions.
“Since we launched onUp, a movement to advance financial confidence in America, more than 2.7 million people have taken steps to gain control of their finances,” said Susan Somersille Johnson, SunTrust chief marketing officer. “‘Saving for Your Dreams’ is an invitation for more Americans to join the movement as they consider how to reach their own dreams. As a purpose-driven bank, we’re committed to making that happen.”
The campaign features 11-year-old figure skater Elise Freezer who demonstrates the magic of what happens when you believe in yourself. It's a truly epic moment as she waltzes about on the ice, bursting with confidence.
The message is reinforced in digital and social channels with vignettes of supporting characters who exemplify confidence with humour and bravado.
“The campaign celebrates SunTrust’s purpose of Lighting the Way to Financial Well-Being,” said Scott Goodson, chairman of StrawberryFrog. “The spot is wonderfully set to the 1983 song ‘What a Feeling’ by Irene Cara from the film ‘Flashdance,’ which captures the essence of the brand’s message.”
The TV spot, directed by Los Perez, will air is the US on NBC-owned broadcast and digital channels during Winter Olympics programming, from February 9th to the 25th and on Hulu and local TV programming in select markets from March 12th to April 15th.
