Boutique post production company Stone Dogs has hired Jess Slaney as its new director of growth.
Jess began her career in film and post production, before transitioning into content production with the launch of her own company, Cherry Media, which she ran successfully for over a decade. From there, she moved to Factory where her knowledge of audio post production grew exponentially, heading up business development as part of its senior leadership team. Moving agency-side, she then took on the roles of production consultant and EP at Pentland as well as EP at Mother, utilising her years of experience to optimise creative output, workflow, and profitability. Prior to now joining Stone Dogs, Jess acted as business director at Soho’s Bubble TV.
Recent career highlights for Jess include executive producing Speedo’s global women’s campaign and Uber Trains’ social campaign with Mother, as well as championing up-and-coming female director, Lucy Fairbanks, for Speedo’s ‘With The Tides’, which was shortlisted for a Campaign Brand Film Award.
Jess comments, “I met Brian [Carbin, co-founder] and Dave [Kiddie, co-founder] for the first time last year and we clicked immediately. I think we have had a similar level of experience in the industry which created a natural shorthand and synergy between us from the off. Plus, they’re great people!”
Brian Carbin, co-founder at Stone Dogs, adds, “I’ve got a lot to look forward to in 2025, but this is top of my list. From the moment we met Jess, we knew she was the perfect fit for our team. With extensive experience, including successfully running her own company, Jess brings a unique blend of creativity and strategic thinking. Her passion for the craft, coupled with her good humour, practical approach, and genuine personality, makes her an invaluable addition. We’re thrilled and fortunate to have her join the pack!”
