Somesuch UK Announces Tash Tan as Managing Director

Tash Tan has been promoted to managing director and executive producer of Somesuch UK, stepping up from her role as deputy managing director and executive producer. From June 9th, Tash will be responsible for running Somesuch UK in her new position, reporting to Somesuch founding partners Sally Campbell and Tim Nash.

Since joining in 2011 to launch their music video division, Tash’s career is a catalogue of success stories closely connected to the development of Somesuch. Under her leadership, the company has produced era-defining work for the likes of Frank Ocean and Dua Lipa, while building up a rich and storied portfolio as an executive producer for delivering powerful, exceptional work. Throughout her career, Tash has overseen critically acclaimed projects for clients and artists including Chanel and Es Devlin, working across advertising, publishing and production. In 2023, she was appointed Deputy Managing Director of Somesuch UK, where she oversaw projects such as EA Sports FC 25’s launch film ‘For The Club’ directed by Rollo Jackson, King She’s ‘The Window’ which formed the first instalment of John Lewis’s three-part Christmas campaign last year, as well as ‘Playdate’ and ‘Empty Nest’ for EE directed by Caleb Femi.

Alongside Tash, Somesuch has promoted general manager Kayleigh Leeson to operations director. A new role pivotal to senior management within the company, which will see Kayleigh support Tash with the day-to-day running of the London office in addition to the overall operational, strategic and financial leadership of the business, reporting to Sally, Tim and Tash. Leeson will also have a strong focus on supporting young and emerging talent (both producers and directors breaking into the industry) as well as building company culture.
