Last night in the UK, Smirnoff launched the first piece of a new brand mission and campaign that will roll out globally at the beginning of 2013.
The television commercial ‘Nocturnal Awakening’ introduces a new global tagline for Smirnoff, ‘Yours For The Making’.
‘Nocturnal Awakening’ encourages people to explore new possibilities and challenge convention – to make the night their own and try something new. Rich with metaphor, the spot layers inventive texture across the spot, showing people being creative with the world around them – using what is available to transform their nightlife experiences in unexpected ways. Nocturnal Awakening and the new Smirnoff campaign were developed by JWT New York with Smirnoff Global and Smirnoff Western Europe.
A :60 second version of Nocturnal Awakening debuted in the UK on October 2 during the Champions League football on ITV, and will then roll out in Northern Ireland and Germany two weeks later, followed by Mexico. The spot includes the first use of the new line, Yours for the Making, and provides a glimpse into what is to come from the brand as the full campaign rolls out globally in 2013.
Building on the “Nocturnal Awakening” commercial, Smirnoff will roll out a platform and global campaign in 2013 that inspires and empowers people to challenge convention and seek out new experiences.
