Northgate Market, the family-owned and operated Hispanic supermarket chain, together with its agency Circus, launched 'Holiday Miniatures', its holiday season digital and TV campaign that celebrates key Mexican traditions, using stop motion animation techniques. Northgate Market and Circus partnered with an award winning stop motion animation production team to build customised miniature sets representing typical Mexican rituals around the upcoming celebrations.
“Every Holiday season is different for everyone. From traditions, culture and moments in life, each family celebrates in a very unique way, but always surrounded by food. This spot, being around the holidays, needed food to be the hero. We needed to squeeze in authenticity along with Mexican traditions. The assignment was a tall order, but Circus added the magic!” said Caro D’Antuono, vice president of marketing for Northgate Market.
"The Holiday season has always been a time for family, and according to our data analytics of the Hispanic audience, it means a time to bring back family traditions such as posadas, tamales and the Christmas tree. Hispanics gather during this season to remember and build new family memories. Northgate Market wants to be part of these celebrations, providing their clients with the supplies to create meaningful memories,” said Bruno Lambertini, founder and CEO of Circus.
