Sky Broadband Partners with ‘200 Level Default Deathrun’ in Fortnite for Launch of Gigafest

One of the biggest speed courses in Fortnite goes Gigafast with Sky Broadband, Mediacom, WPP’s Hogarth Metaverse Foundry and SuperAwesome

Sky Broadband is making its metaverse debut with a takeover of the infamous ‘200 Level Default Deathrun’ in Fortnite, a virtual race to celebrate the launch of Sky Broadband Gigafast. Developed collaboratively by Sky Broadband, Mediacom and WPP’s Hogarth Metaverse Foundry and facilitated by SuperAwesome, the Sky Broadband Gigafast Speedrun and competition will be announced by British YouTube star Ali-A via an exclusive YouTube integration, TikTok video and Twitter post.  Following the announcement, amateur players will race to complete the Sky Broadband Gigafast Speedrun in the fastest time for a chance to win two amazing prizes: a head-to-head livestream race against Ali-A and a £5000 GAME Voucher. The activation represents the ‘10’ strand of Sky Broadband’s 70 / 20 / 10 approach to building its marketing campaigns and to celebrate its fastest broadband product ever, Sky Broadband is partnering with one of the biggest speed courses in Fortnite, the 200 Level Deathrun - to launch ‘Sky Broadband Gigafast Speedrun’. The course is not only one of the most popular at the moment but incorporates newly released parkour elements to test the speed and agility of the players as they try to make their way through the course of over 200 levels as fast as they can. As well as incorporating Gigafast branding throughout, Sky Broadband have added Gigafast ‘Speed Zones’ and Gigafast ‘Speed Pads’ giving players a huge speed boost and the chance to complete the course faster than ever before. In addition to this, players who complete the course and mark their achievements are rewarded with a custom Gigafast coloured Player Trail.
