An M&C Saatchi Sport and Entertainment-created campaign for SKINS Compression Sportswear has launched an innovative new range of men’s compression shorts designed to maximise leg strength and power.
The campaign, that launches today, is inspired by the power and heroism of comic book superheroes and is centred on digital and print executions, which will feature on sports specific webpages and magazines.
Teaming up with renowned French illustrator and Marvel Comics veteran Jean Sebastian Rossbach, the campaign brings to life a hyper-realistic stadium around three of SKINS key real life footballing superheroes – Johnathan Thurston (Rugby League), Tom Rockliff (Australian Rules) and Matt Toomua (Rugby Union).
SKINS Marketing Manager Erin Chapman said: “SKINS are very excited to launch our Power Shorts campaign. The SKINS Power Shorts are an Australian first, and we have worked very hard to create a campaign that differentiates us from the rest of the pack and positions us as an industry leader.”
SKINS Ambassador, Johnathan Thurston had the opportunity to trial the SKINS Power Shorts before they hit the market.
“I had a great time participating in the production of the campaign, the SKINS Power Shorts have been a very important addition to my training and match day performance. As a professional athlete it is my job to ensure I am always performing at my best, SKINS Power Shorts help me do this as they provide excellent muscle support to help reduce my risk of injury, while also enhancing my performance."
SKINS A400 Power Shorts are an Australian-first for the compression category and were developed in conjunction with the Wallabies over the pastthree rugby seasons. They provide an enhanced style of compression to maximise explosive power, increase strength and reduce the risk of injury through muscle support.
