Skins Unleash What Lies Within

SKINS, the pioneer of Australian compression sportswear, will team up with renowned French illustrator and Marvel Comics veteran Jean Sebastian Rossbach in a campaign to launch a brand new range of men’s compression shorts designed to maximise leg strength and power.

 

SKINS A400 Power Shorts are an Australian-first for the compression category and will be launched through a unique print and digital campaign created by M&C Saatchi Sport and Entertainment.

 

Inspired by the power and heroism of comic book superheroes, Rossbach’s vibrant illustrations will bring to life a hyper-realistic stadium around three of SKINS key real life footballing superheroes – Johnathan Thurston (Rugby League), Tom Rockliff (Australian Rules) and Matt Toomua (Rugby Union).

 

"Working on this creative was a lot of fun. I treated it the way I would treat a super-hero cover or a concept art for a movie, with all the action cursors pushed to the max. Except this time it's directed toward real superheroes: elite athletes," said Rossbach from his hometown in France.

The SKINS A400 Power Shorts, developed in conjunction with the Wallabies over the past three rugby seasons, are an enhanced style of compression short designed to maximise explosive power, increase strength and reduce the risk of injury through muscle support.

 

Rossbach is best know for having illustrated the covers of Marvel comics, Dan Simmons’ Hyperion series, George R. R. Martin’s A Game of Thrones, and Robin Hobb’s Royal Assassin.

 

The SKINS Power Shorts print campaign will begin from March in major men’s lifestyle and sport magazines across Australia.
