Rachael joins from Work Editorial, where she spent 11 years crafting some of her most memorable campaigns, specialising in comedy but extending across genres. Highlights include Make My Money Matter’s satirical ‘Oblivia Coalmine’, directed by Raine Allen-Miller – and edited by Rachael just eight weeks after giving birth – as well as Trebor’s surreal ‘Confessions’, directed by Taika Waititi. This flair for comedic storytelling has also won Rachael collaborations with the likes of Lucy Forbes, James Rouse, Florence Winter Hill, Freddie Waters, and Alicia Macdonald.

Working across a diverse range of projects, Rachael also edited Comedy Central UK’s web series, ‘Waiting’, written by Ryan Sampson, co-starring Harriet Webb, and directed by Freddie Waters. The six comedy sketches imagined exactly what can happen in the awkward moments while you wait for your big moment to arrive.
Rachael comments, “This is an incredibly exciting time for me. I’ve loved watching Shift grow to become the go-to for the best comedy work out there. I’m joining a wealth of talent and dynamism, plus reuniting professionally with Saam [Hodivala, founder and editor at Shift Post] is just wonderful, this move was a no brainer.”
Saam Hodivala adds, “From working with Rachael over the years, I’ve always found her eye for comedic timing and performance to be absolutely spot on. She knows how to make funny funnier and her sense of humour is totally infectious. She’s such a great addition to our growing team and I’m super excited for the energy she will bring.”
