The Covid-19 stay-at-home restrictions recently prompted She Runs It – a 501c3 not-for-profit organisation that supports women in marketing, media, and tech – to pivot to virtual events to serve its membership. The subsequent, positive response from its members and the broader community prompted She Runs It to offer eMemberships to everyone across the industries it serves.
“When shelter-in-place mandates sent everyone home and postponed industry events in March, our team reacted immediately to deliver virtual programming to keep our community connected, inspired, informed and productive,” said Lynn Branigan, president and CEO of She Runs It. “As we started delivering twice-weekly virtual sessions – Water Cooler Convos and Lessons from Leaders – a wonderful thing started to happen. People came. They got engaged. We have been getting an incredible response not just from members but from the friends, families and colleagues of members who want to be part of our community.”
According to Lynn, eMembers are women (and men) who live and work outside of She Runs It’s geographic communities of New York and Chicago – including the new San Francisco community that was launched at the beginning of the year – who believe in the organization’s mission, which is to pave the way for more women to lead at every level of marketing, media and tech. eMemberships are available to individuals and to corporate alliance partner employees.
“eMembers are global citizens who believe in the power of women to be amazing leaders and have a positive impact on their companies, their industries and their world,” Lynn added.
Corporate Alliance Partners are vested supporters of She Runs It, and those companies can now extend virtual membership to their entire organizations free of charge. Individual members can join She Runs It for an annual fee of $100. All members will be entitled to the benefits and services offered by the nonprofit organization, including:
§ Free access to three virtual events per month (plus member pricing for signature events when they 'go live')
§ Participation in the mentoring program via virtual, group sessions
§ Networking access to 4,800 She Runs It members through membership directory
§ Connection to curated networking circles
§ Eligibility for She Runs It loan relief program (which has given more than $700,000 in education relief to rising stars in marketing, media and tech)
People interested in eMembership can do so on the She Runs It website.
