Seven Sunday Films Blows Apart The Matrix with Dominate Jakarta

Seven Sunday Films and Jakarta-based lifestyle brand, Dominate… recently collaborated on a short narrative film. The film written and directed by SSF director Angga Anggur, tells the dominance of technology, ‘Questioning all the status quo’.

The film is about anxiety, combined with symbols and sarcastic narration, packaged with a message for humans to be aware of the power of 'D.I.Y’ to keep moving and to be ready for the challenges of 'all-instant' conditions, in  a form of a virtual letter concept.  This is the voice of anxiety of our thoughts about the dominance of technology that has made humans increasingly lose their identity, forget the power of their instincts and capabilities, and eventually makes most humans lazy and increasingly desire to live instantaneously, in the era of technological domination where every problem is caused by accessibility. Controlling the access means controlling everything, algorithms that regulate and interfere too much in even 'sentimental' matters and also in an era where there are too many products of the 4.0 revolution born of urban reality. 

Anggur, Seven Sunday Films, director says, “I was fortunate to have been given this opportunity to imagine such a fantastical idea and bring it to life. The film allowed me to push myself beyond the usual norms and up the ante - it gave me the opportunity to inject my passion and style of creativity onto it. I was very happy that the end result, created an even better film that what I had imagined.
