Voxy Media House deep dives into its most recent venture with Adsmart from Sky

After connecting on LinkedIn through their Wigan roots and shared interest in advertising, Ryan Connor and Joe Mitchinson from Voxy Media House and Natalie Guest from Adsmart from Sky arranged a catch-up over a brew at VOXYs HQ over at Wigan Hall. What started as a casual chat quickly turned into an exciting opportunity for collaboration.

"Once I got a proper understanding of how the service works, it was a no-brainer for me and Joe to get involved. It felt like a massive opportunity - not just for us, but for businesses who’ve always thought TV advertising was out of reach. Together, they set out to bring this opportunity to local businesses, starting with their first event at The Edge in Wigan. Attendees from across the borough came along to learn how AdSmart can help their brand appear on national TV without the huge price tag. The event also featured former Ogilvy creative director Peter Moss, who delivered a talk on the enduring power of advertising.

That shared vision quickly led to their first project together. In partnership with Enjoy! Marketing, they produced a national TV commercial for Cash Converters, promoting the brand’s Buy Back service. The ad told a relatable story of a young couple, with the boyfriend using the Buy Back option to fund a last-minute anniversary gift - a simple narrative with emotional weight.

The turnaround was fast - just two weeks from scripting to broadcast - showcasing

Building on the momentum, the team is now gearing up for their second event, this time
at The Village Hotel in Warrington.
