SAXX, a premium men’s underwear brand known for their patented Ballpark Pouch, will stop at nothing to rid the world of ball discomfort.
So, when Walter White’s tighty-whities went up for auction last month, the ball experts stepped in and purchased them for $32,500 - with the sole intent of 'breaking bad' underwear habits.
“As a brand devoted to properly caring for men’s balls everywhere, we just couldn’t sit by idly knowing such a vile, antiquated undergarment could potentially touch another man’s nether regions,” said Shawna Olsten, SAXX VP of brand marketing.
Since then, Breaking Bad fans (including Bryan Cranston himself) have wondered why SAXX would possibly want the musty old pair of frayed white briefs. Well, the answer came this morning, when SAXX launched a film on their social channels, proving they’ve not only taken them off the market, they’ve stowed them in a Pontiac Aztek and blew them to pieces in the middle of the desert.
“In the interest of men’s balls everywhere, we took it upon ourselves to rid the world of these primitive briefs. So after much deliberation, we decided to do it in the most Breaking Bad-way possible - by blowing them to smithereens,” said Taylor McKinnon, brand manager.
Luckily for Breaking Bad fans, SAXX offers Walter White’s signature look with the bonus of a built-in BallPark Pouch, a hammock-shaped compartment that cradles the balls for all-day comfort.
And in support of Testicular Cancer Awareness Month, for every pair of white briefs or boxer briefs SAXX sells during the month of April, the brand will donate all proceeds to the Testicular Cancer Foundation. Plus, 25 lucky purchasers will receive a commemorative charred shred of the remains of the infamous undies (for collecting, not wearing).
