Stept Studios, in collaboration with Salomon, announces the launch of four films as well as plans for a new series for 2025. The work, an innovative collection of short documentaries that represent a new vision for Salomon TV. For over a year, Stept’s creative and entertainment team have worked closely with Salomon to create a series of stand alone films that collectively convey a powerful, unified message about the connection between humanity, nature, and community.
From films centred around trail running, to stories exploring the brand’s innovations in the sport style space, the challenge that Salomon laid out was to develop unique, character-driven films that could live all under one dynamic, signature approach. All of the films were to reflect Salomon’s core belief that humans thrive when immersed in nature and when bonded by community. Stept enlisted their creative, production and post teams to execute the series and to ensure that unity.
“We wanted to capture the essence of the human experience in nature, while highlighting Salomon’s mission of fostering connection,” says Sarah Stewart, director of non-fiction at Stept Studios. “Through a consistent set of visual and storytelling elements, we’ve worked alongside some incredible filmmakers to craft films that feel both authentic and deeply personal.”
The four initial films in the series include:
The films, which have already been met with overwhelmingly positive reception by audiences on Salomon’s STV channel and in-person screenings, were designed to live beyond the screen. The films will continue to be featured at film festivals in coming months including DocUtah, No Man’s Land, Boulder Int’l Film Fest and Banff World Tour.
In addition to the initial four films, Stept Studios delivered a comprehensive collection of media assets, ensuring the films could reach a wider audience through YouTube, social media, and other platforms.
“Our goal was to create stories that resonate with a global audience and inspire individuals to connect with nature and one another,” said Scott Mellin, global chief brand officer “We’re thrilled with the response and excited to see these films live across multiple platforms, expanding their reach. We’re looking forward to continuing the partnership.”
Stept Studios’ work on the Salomon series reflects Stept’s continued commitment to innovations in visual storytelling, offering emotionally powerful narratives that engage, inspire, and promote connection to the outdoors.
